Olaf!

For our darling niece's 4th birthday, we were asked, by the birthday girl herself  for a Frozen themed cake. After much deliberation,  she gave us a rough idea of how she envisioned her cake. In her words, "Ok.You can make the cake blue and the snowflakes white."

With only 2 days to bring Alex's vision to life, we decided to go with a rosette buttercream cake with a fondant Olaf to top it off. After all, who doesn't love Olaf? We were glad the children in her class loved the cake as much as she did. The best part about the cake cutting at her school was watching the kids fight over who was going to sing Do you want to build a snowmannnnn?

Happy birthday Alexandra Paige Lamy! We can't believe how fast time flies and we look forward to spending many more birthdays with you!:)

Some people are worth melting for, and you're one of them.

WE LOVE YOU!! <3

XOXO,
Auntie tamen and dawa <3

Pink Ombre Cake for Mother's Day

We baked a 5 layer Pink Ombre cake for Mother's Day!

We had to colour and bake the individual layers separately. This was a very tiring and time-consuming process (we baked till 2am) but definitely worth it! Reminded us that hard work does pay off. And that we need more baking pans.

Of course the outside was a pretty ombre pink as well!

All in all, a very simple cake with no fancy fondant decorations, but just as pretty.

To all the mummies out there, Happy Mother's Day!
You have the toughest job in the world and our lives just wouldn't be the same without you.
