Harry Potter doggie cake

Made a pork & peanut butter cream cheese cake for our 2 favourite doggies, Volty & Shogun! 

The owner requested a Harry Potter theme for Volty (short for Voldemort) that turned 2. 

Super fun to make!!

Canine Bites: Put Yo Paws Up Pupcake

We picked up a chocolate paw mold from Art Friend and had this great idea for a doggy pupcake!

We used Carob instead of chocolate to make the lollipup. 

NEVER use chocolate in any dog treat- the Theobromine found in chocolate is toxic to dogs (white chocolate is fine as it doesn't contain Theobromine). 

Ingredients 

1/2 cup of sunflower flour 

(you can substitute it with wheat flour, etc.)

1/3 cup applesauce

1/3 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons of flaxseed

1/2 cream cheese 

1 egg

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees.

2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until everything is incorporated.

3. Pour batter into the cupcake tin.

Frosting

1. Combine the cream cheese with 1 tablespoon of applesauce. 

2. Pipe onto pupcake. 

The dogs absolutely love this cupcake!

Canine Cookies: Peanut Butter & Banana Diamonds

Dogs will go absolutely bananas for peanut butter. 

Combine the two and you have the greatest canine cookie ever made, and an extremely happy dog.

Ingredients

1 large egg 

Dog milk or water (1/4 cup)

Plain flour (2 cups)

1 banana

Peanut butter (1 tablespoon)

Honey (1 tablespoon) 

Extra stuff

Flaxseed powder (2 tablespoons)

Proden Plaque off (3 scoops) 

Recipe 

1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C
2. Add all the ingredients in your mixer and using your dough hook, combine everything (You can combine everything by hand if you do not have a mixer).
3. Roll out the dough and use your cookie cutter to cut out those cookies.
4. Bake for 10 mins until golden brown.
5. Leave out to cool for about 10 mins before serving your dog.

I used a diamond cutter because it's small and easy for my 3 little dogs to eat.
Feel free to use cutters in a different shape!
